- You purchased one or more digital video games through the PlayStation Store between April 1, 2019 and December 31, 2023.
- The game you bought was one for which a Game-Specific Voucher (GSV) was available at retail before April 1, 2019.
- The game had at least 200 GSV redemptions before April 1, 2019.
- The game’s post-discount price went up by at least fifty cents when comparing the period of January 1, 2017 to March 31, 2019 against the period of April 1, 2019 to December 31, 2023.
- You did not exclude yourself (opt out) from the Settlement Class.

What this settlement is about
This settlement resolves a class action claiming that Sony Interactive Entertainment engaged in anticompetitive conduct to monopolize the PlayStation digital game market, which allegedly caused customers to pay more than they should have for certain digital games bought through the PlayStation Store. Sony denies that it did anything wrong, and the Court has not decided whether any laws were broken, but Sony has agreed to pay $7,850,000 to settle the case.
The settlement is not final yet, because the Court has scheduled a Fairness Hearing on October 15, 2026 to decide whether to approve it. If you qualify, you generally do not need to file a claim, since payments are made automatically as PlayStation Network account credits deposited into your PSN wallet, so no proof of purchase is required for most people. However, if your PSN account is deactivated, you will need to provide proof by sending your qualifying purchase information and a current address to receive payment by check, with a deadline of August 27, 2026.
