Case overview

What this settlement is about

A lawsuit claims that Flo Health built code from Google's and Flurry's software development kits into its period-tracking app, and that through this code Flo shared users' menstruation and pregnancy information with those companies without giving proper notice or getting consent, allegedly between November 1, 2016 and February 28, 2019. The plaintiffs argue this conduct broke several privacy and consumer protection laws. Google, Flo, and Flurry all deny doing anything wrong and deny the allegations, but have agreed to settle the case for $59.5 million rather than continue fighting it in court. As of April 22, 2026, the Court has given preliminary approval to the settlement, with a Final Approval Hearing set for October 29, 2026. Because the settlement has not yet received final sign-off, payments are not yet guaranteed or available.
