Case overview

What this settlement is about

A class action alleges that certain 2019-2020 BMW X3, X4, X5, X6, and X7 vehicles have a roof-mounted 'shark-fin' antenna that isn't fully sealed, potentially letting water seep in and damage the components underneath. BMW denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the case. If you paid out of pocket for this antenna repair before the settlement's effective date, you can file a claim for reimbursement — you'll need to include repair documentation and proof of payment, since claims require proof. To find out if your vehicle qualifies, watch for a notice sent by mail or email, or use the ID Lookup Form on the claim form website (available after selecting 'Apply on Website') to check your eligibility. A final approval hearing is scheduled for July 28, 2026, and claims must be filed by August 27, 2026.
