Affirm Buy Now, Pay Later Lawsuit

New York resident Judith Shephard has filed a proposed class action against Affirm Holdings, Inc., accusing the company of deceptively marketing its 'Buy Now, Pay Later' (BNPL) payment plans. According to the complaint, Affirm's marketing led consumers into spending more than they otherwise would, while charging high fees and failing to offer refund or dispute-resolution protections comparable to those available with traditional credit cards. The case is a proposed lawsuit at this stage, with no settlement yet reached.
